High-Viz is a 2022 Ford F-150 XL, factory painted Ryobi Green, but it's much more than a truck.
High-Viz was inspired by my husband Tony's journey with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), an invisible illness that changed our lives in 2025. Rather than letting his diagnosis define him, Tony chose to create something that could spark conversations, spread awareness, and bring people together.
While the official MCAS awareness ribbon is purple with white polka dots, Tony didn't feel it truly represented his personal journey. Instead, he created his own Fractured Pattern—a custom design that reflects what living with MCAS has felt like for him. That pattern became the foundation of High-Viz's custom livery, transforming the truck into a moving piece of awareness.
We wanted the community to be part of our story. So we hosted two local community car meets to bring people together around the project. Tony and I ordered the Vinyl and cut over 35 12x12 sheets of Tony's MCAS Fractured Pattern design. When it came time to lay the vinyl, friends, family, and members of our community joined us in applying every piece. From the very beginning, High-Viz wasn't built by just one person—it was brought to life by an incredible community united behind a mission to make the invisible visible.
High-Viz now stands as a symbol of awareness, resilience, and the incredible community that helped turn one vision into reality.
What started as a truck build has grown into something much bigger. High-Viz has become a platform for automotive creativity, community, and awareness. The bright Ryobi Green paint catches people's attention, but it's the story behind it that creates lasting conversations.
Every car show, cruise, and event is another opportunity to introduce someone to MCAS and remind people that invisible illnesses deserve to be seen.
Whether you drive a lifted truck, a daily driver, or simply love the automotive community, you're part of High-Viz Nation.
